Kimmy’s Garage would like to feature Yandro Ulloa on today’s blog!
Setting the manual-trans record was never something Ulloa had ever considered. His original goal when he built this car was to go 9.99 but he got there quicker than expected! Ulloa decided to make the 12 hour drive to Bowling Green, KY for an NMRA event and went 8.98 when he knew his team had something special. They continued to tweak and tune which lead to a 8.52 at 170 test pass at Bradenton then returned to the lanes to make the legendary 8.47 @ 169 pass. Ulloa’s next goal is to be in the 7s before the end of the year and be the fastest stick US domestic car!

Ulloa states of his record breaking pass, “it felt like any other pass, fighting for my life making sure I don’t miss a gear never looking at speedometer so I had no clue of the speed till I got my ticket. I granny shifted the whole way down afraid something would go wrong with trany, but I’ll have it refreshed and inspected to make sure its ready for the next step!”
“I’m just an AC guy that loves going down the track, and I want to make the mustang community proud with Original Ford Motors. This is really a dream come true and a VERY humbling experience with 1000s of people saying supportive things and enjoying this with me!” says Ulloa.
Ulloa recently visited Kimmy’s Garage and we are very excited to have him as part of our Aerospace Components Team!!
