Kimmy’s Garage would like to feature George Pavell and his 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline!
This 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline was an 11 year build, Pavell felt no urgency to complete it and he wanted to push himself and this car to a level most would not choose to go. He found the car in the state of New Jersey, and acquired the car in a trade for his old Cutlass. He traded a complete car for this Fleetline as a roller! “I was originally in search of a Deuce Nova for a pro touring build, but after running across this early fat fendered Chevy, I just knew the direction I had to build… one of the craziest fat fenders on the planet” states Pavell.
The ’48 Fleetline is a true pro street with a back half. Pavell was aiming for a 50/50 build, 50% race car and 50% high end hot rod. This is not your traditional blower, parachute, wheelie bar car, but instead a race themed car with a ton of smooth and details, all done very subtly.

11.6.1 comp forged light weight internals
850 quick fuel with simple plane ported hurricane intake
Roster t400 terminator tranny with a 3,500 Neil chance converter
Aluminum, PST driveshaft 9″ Ford with 31 spline axles and a Detroit locker
Aerospace Components front and rear disc brakes
Holeshot racing wheels and M/Ts tires 33×19.5 rears
Accuair air management system with ride tech double adjustable shock waves air ride
4.56 gears
One of Pavell’s favorite parts of the car is the Aerospace Components disc brakes, “built by a great staff that were the most helpful of any vendor during this build” says Pavell.

Consists of 3 cow hides of 2015 caddy escalade leather and suede
Custom built the entire interior to flow and wrap around the car to match the overall V theme of the car

As for the body, “so many mods, but all done very subtly, absolutely every piece of metal on this car has been smoothed from the body to the motor block and tranny rear, etc. As well as every weld, the frame has been smoothed and painted body color.”
Pavell finished the car in July 2017 and has been awarded with 23 awards after 13 shows, with 6 of those being “Best of Show”. He is looking forward to a full 2018 show season!
