Tom and Eva Ullery bought a red 2014 Mustang GT back in 2016 and one day decided to go to the racetrack to watch some drag racing. When they pulled up to the entrance to pay and watch, the attendant said “why not race your car?”. They looked at each other and said “why not!?”, they paid to race the car, rented some helmets and that is where it all started!

Ever since that first race together, they have taken every opportunity to go back to the tracks and race the mustang. They have made some changes to the car to make her louder and faster.

The engine and transmission are still stock,  so they added:

  • JLT Cold Air Intake

  • Kooks Headers

  • Barton Shifter

  • 90 Gears

  • Put on ET Pros Mickey Thompson tires

  • We also had an AWESOME tune done by Kevin Hand at WICKED Motorsports.

Even with minimal changes, Tom has run the car with his best ET of 11.58 with a 1.50 sixty foot in a quarter mile.  Eva has a best ET of 12.39 with a 1.70 sixty foot in a quarter mile.  “I know we will be getting faster soon.  We are having such a great time racing the car and also doing this together.” states Eva.

After learning so much about the industry and because they love it so much, Tom decided to get his own Mustang.  So a year later, they bought a 91 Mustang Notchback.  With the help and expertise of their good friend Rick Riccardi of Riccardi Racing, LLC, Tom is getting hands on training and doing lots of the work with Ricky. “I fell in love with racing and all the people involved with it and I’m just looking to go as fast as possible!” says Tom.

With the help of Dave Jack Cylinder Heads and Bob Oster Engine Builders, they are working to make this car a low 9 second car.  The equipment list includes:

  • It will have a 412 cubic inch engine

  • QA1 Suspension

  • UPR K-Member

  • Weldon Fuel System

  • Chassis work by Matt Wirt

  • Wiring by Rich Concato

  • Aerospace Components for brakes

“I want to just thank Aerospace Components for their top-of-the-line billet aluminum brakes!” says Tom.
